Reporting into the Group Management Accountant, this role will provide you with the opportunity to gain an understanding of good business practice and finance systems, to develop month-end reconciliation and business reporting skills, and provide you with exposure to a unique and vibrant organisation. You will also be required to work closely with other teams in the business to achieve key business objectives.

A typical day

  • Gaining knowledge of accounting fundamentals, terminology and impact on reporting
  • Developing an understanding of finance processes and controls including construction of monthly Balance Sheet and P&L for the group, reconciliations and cash flow management
  • Assistance with monthly management accounts preparation to monitor financial performance and exposure to annual budget setting processes
  • Development of enhanced reporting across the business to inform decision makers, including design of new reports to be presented to senior management and Board
  • Experience in scenario planning and sensitivity analysis on forecasts to assess the impact of management decisions and business risks
  • Practical use of Financial Accounting systems and reporting tools
  • Exposure to project accounting and grant funding requirements
  • Other duties as may be required

You must have

  • Five GCSE grades C – A* (4-9) or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • B or 5 at GCSE Maths
  • Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC or equivalent)
