We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant who will be responsible for providing day-to-day transactional bookkeeping and accounting support. This position will report to the Management Accountant and will be responsible to help ensure timely, complete and accurate accounting and management reporting across the US and the UK legal entities within the Token Group.
A typical day
Ensuring accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger through day to day record-keeping of all business transactions, including, but not limited to, processing client invoices, third-party supplier costs, and employee expenses
Assisting the Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly / quarterly management accounts (in line with US GAAP) and a range of other financial / KPI reports
Timely and accurate preparation of regular / ad hoc payment runs as well as the preparation of bank account, supplier, credit card, intercompany and other balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with submission of VAT and other tax returns and government filings
Providing support to other business functions (such as sales and R&D), including PO-preparation, PO-tracking and expenditure to date tracking
Matching invoices to approved PO’s and recording against budgets
Assistance with and input on the advancement of automation and efficiencies throughout the finance, reporting and accounting processes
Resolution of day-to-day finance / accounting queries (internal & external) and ad hoc tasks that may be required from time to time
You must have
Five GCSE grades C – A* (4-9) or equivalent, including English and Maths
B or 5 at GCSE Maths
Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC or equivalent)
